It finally feels like Spring might be nearing closer. The sun has been out for the past few days and we just got in a huge shipment of warm weather patterns from Named and Papercut. Have you started planning your Spring sewing? If so, what is on your project queue?
Another week, another pattern shipment! All our new patterns have us in a bit of a sewing frenzy around here. Many of us will be spending the weekend sewing up some new store samples, while others will be testing out the lovely new selection of Named and Papercut patterns for fun. We might even be sewing up some surprises for Monday!
Enough about us…On to your weekly links!
At this point, you are probably familiar with #sewnwithhart. It has been so enjoyable seeing new friends participating on a regular basis. Thanks for sharing your inspiration and pieces of yourself with our community. We love browsing your photos and reading your posts, so keep them coming! If you haven’t joined in yet, there is still time! Pop in for a few days or stop by to read a daily self-care tip.
Santa Cruz is having its fair share of dreary grey days this winter similar to much of the nation. While it’s easy to let this get us down, it’s nice to find beauty in the weather and enjoy it. Walks along the stormy sea and views of fog rolling over the hills are helping to keep our spirits in check. This weekend, we’ll be taking our own self-care tip and sleeping in!
We’re about half way through the first week of #sewwithhart and we are blown away by your posts and response. Thank you for joining in! If you missed the first few days, it’s not too late! The spirit of this month is to feel good. Post when you can or when it speaks to you. We love meeting new friends.
Phew! This has been a busy week. We have been buzzing around getting things in order for #sewnwithhart. Plus, we have been working to find more ways to engage with our lovely readers and customers. Some of you might have seen us live on Instagram and Facebook! Even though it’s been a bit of a rocky start, it was so great getting to meet you. If you have any questions you would like answered, or products you would like to see, let us know and we will go live for you!
As I sit here writing, history is changing.
Today is a big day for so many. Emotions are swirling.
Let’s bring light to the day with our links for the week. Happy weekend!
Everybody loves a good twirly dress.
This post really resonated with me.
I have lots of sewing to do this weekend. Good thing I’ve got a new book to keep me company!
Seems appropriate in the current state of affairs.
Tips for mental clarity are always welcome.
Happy new year! All the planning and energy coming out of the sewing community has us feeling ready to take on the year. As we revealed earlier this week, we are super excited about our plans for #sewnwithhart. We have been working on this idea for a few months and we hope that it brings you joy.
On to this week’s links….
Lately, I find my sewing interests expanding internationally. It’s so interesting to think about how this community of sewers continues to grow globally and how the internet makes it possible for us to connect through blogs and Instagram. Language is no longer a barrier…thanks to google translate, and our pattern collection continues to diversify thanks to the addition of independent pattern companies from around the world.
As we move into the new year, expect to see more international influence in our pattern selection. We love suggestions, so don’t be shy, tell us what you would love to see!
Also, be on the lookout for some exciting plans for the month of February. We will start unveiling our vision early in the new year and our hope is to draw us all a little closer by igniting light into this community we love so much.
We hope you like the links!
