Welcome to our wrap up of the Traverse Bag Sew Along! As promised, I’m showing off my rough draft version that I’ve been sewing at home before sewing the final version here at the store. I love that you can sew this bag up using the fabric recommendations on the pattern, or you can scrap it up and use your favorites in your stash to create a one-of-a-kind bag.
This was a fun bag to sew up and even more fun to fill up and find that all the things I “need” to carry fit nicely inside the larger version! I really like that my necessities (phone, keys, tissues) can live in the outside pockets, making them much easier to find.
Below we’re showing the two Traverse Bags that I sewed up sandwiching a picture of the bag that our assistant manager Paula made with some upholstery fabric from her stash.
Unsurprisingly (because every noddlehead pattern that I’ve made has become an instant favorite), I loved sewing this bag up. Anna Graham’s patterns are always so well written with great instructions and additional tutorials available on her website, my only worry was being able to add some tips and tricks, but I think it all went smoothly and I can’t wait to lead another sew along. What are you all wanting to sew next? #hartssewalong
